Are you sure you’ve watched enough Ronaldo lately?

I would’ve love this to be true, but it just isn’t. Right now, Ronaldo is still one of the best in the world, I’d say easily the best striker (even if he’s supposed to be a LW), but he’s no longer capable of creating on his own and hasn’t been for quite a while now.

This is also the reason I ultimately don’t see him leaving. No team is as good as Real, meaning he won’t have a chance to cement his legacy the same way anywhere else. Was he in any other team in the world, he wouldn’t have arrived at the end of the season as rested and his CL knockout stage performance — which basically gave him a new ballon d’or — is never happening.

Besides, there’s already rumors that this is all a novel being conducted by the maestro Mendes to get Ronaldo yet another raise. Seems preposterous, right? Well, it’s Jorge Mendes, so you can’t rule it out.

I would love to see Ronaldo out of Real for a lot of reasons, but the actual chances of it happening are very very slim.
