Analyzing 6 Teams That Are Going To Be On 2019 MSI
It’s a fact that 2019 MSI has it’s favorites, but talking about numbers who would be the winner?

You can’t tell who is gonna be the actual MSI winner this year, but with each team’s numbers in this first split you can have an idea of how well they are going to do.
For the record, LEC, LCK and LPL are in the Group Stage already. CBLOL is in the Play-In stage, and LCS and LMS will be waiting to take on the winner of each Play-In groups.
Total Games and Games Won
Each team has played a different amount of games, depending on the number of teams in their league and of how well the do in the series.

You can notice that, even though INTZ and G2 have the same amount of game wins, INTZ has player much more games, reducing their percentage.
The opposite happens with FW and IG, where the two of them have a similar amount of games played, but IG has much more winnings.
However, SKT and TL keep a good amount of game wins, the expected from a champion team.
Kills and Deaths Per Match
Although it’s not the main goal of the game, kills play an important part in the match. Besides getting you gold, it prevents the enemy from getting cs and experience, and opens the window for you to get objectives.

You can see a certain pattern in most team’s kills, with the difference not going beyond 1. In deaths, SKT and TL have much less than the others.
The outliers are G2 and IG, that have higher numbers in kills and deaths. It remains to be seen if the numbers are because of the play style in their respective regions or if the teams play more aggressively.
First Blood and First Tower Rate
Important not only for the bonus when the team gets First Blood and/or First Tower, both might have a significant impaction on the enemy team, psychologically or in their play style.

In the graphic you can observe that the teams are divided. It’s possible to see that, on the right, INTZ, SKT and G2 go well in both, with SKT doing better on FB and INTZ on FT. On the left side, TL and IG are the best on getting FT, but below 50% when it comes to FB. And even though FW has a higher rate on FB than the other two, it’s really lower on FT than any other.
Towers Killed and Lost
The main goal of the game is to destroy the enemy’s Nexus, but in order to do that, first you have to take down their towers, the routes and base ones.

In the towers killed number, while most teams are average, INTZ and FW show themselves to be inferior, almos 1 point below other teams average.
Considering that you need at least 5 towers to win a game, in the matter of towers lost, most teams are doing well, highlighting G2 and TL, that are the best overall.
On the other hand, INTZ has a towers lost number very similar to the towers killed number, putting them in the last place.
Jungle Objectives
The objectives found in the jungle, like Dragon and Baron, are extremely important to the progress of the match. The permanent buffs of each Dragon can improve even more the team’s composition, and the momentaneous Baron buff is enough to finish a match.
The number of Heralds wasn’t included because of the lack of information.

G2 is clearly the worst by far, while TL appears leading, even though they’re not the best on getting Baron.
INTZ, FW and IG appear to be more interested on the Baron, while SKT is on average.
Game Duration, Wards and Damage per Minute

On the first graphic, it’s pretty clear that IG and G2 deal much more damage than the others, which makes it clear that they are, in fact, the most aggressive teams, like the Kill/Death graphic show.
TL deals more damage per minute than the other 3, but it’s not clearly if it’s because of their game duration, or if their game duration is higher because they focus more on fights than on objectives.
One thing we can ask ourselves is how much does TL’s and G2’s game duration affect their Dragon/Baron numbers,
FW numbers are consistent: they don’t deal so much damage, but their game duration is low. Just like SKT, whom game duration’s are a little longer, but deals just a little more damage.
And then there’s INTZ, the worst in this subject. They deal very few damage, but their matches last almost as much as TL’s. Since it’s not a team with many kills of tower kills, it’s hard to tell what makes the team to delay so much their matches.
About wards, put and cleared, SKT is the best by far, while IG is the worst. INTZ and TL are also pretty bad in this subject, while G2 and FW are on average, and FW being the one who clears more wards than the other 4.
It’s impossible to tell for sure who’s going to be MSI champion based only on numbers but, gun to my head, I would say Invictus Gaming has the most chances.
