I am an IT professional with a strong passion for management, Cloud Technologies, networks, systems design and administration. I also have a particular corner in the heart for solutions architecture.

More than twenty years of experience in very demanding environments led to a growing passion for systems and solutions design and managing IT professionals.

On many occasions, I have given proof of my leadership capabilities, and people know me for being an efficient and realistic solution architect. Often I am referred to as a problem solver or “The Machine“.

Presently, I am Head of Core Solutions of a global BI provider, providing information to a wide range of industries.

In the past, I was involved in very motivating projects, from managing a small MSP in Portugal to being a technical manager of several Portuguese IT companies. Despite being born in 1974, I am constantly evolving and challenging myself. Age is just a number, and my energy level is still as high as 20 years ago.

I also have about ten years of teaching experience as a professional trainer throughout entities like the Portuguese government and private Banks.

My hobby is implementing just for fun Virtualization environments based on Vmware XEN and QEMU to support lab environments to learn more about VoIP, application servers, VDIs etc. Lately, I am growing my focus on experimenting more and more on Public Cloud, especially Azure.

These activities are meant to keep in touch with the evolution of technology, so being engaged in a constant self-learning process allows me to be on the edge of nowadays demanding.

I consider myself very aware of the growing importance of IT professionals as part of an organization. It is no longer an underground activity. It entails a strong presence and a constant seat on the table with the directing team of an organization.
