Great post Brad. In my opinion it’s very important to link the wages to the budget, even if it only was a 5–10% of total HR costs (C’s level 10-20%).

Only then will the whole team understand the importance of budget planning process and will understand that the different parts of a company are focused to run together to achieve the vision. And if things go wrong you at least save some cash…
