What’s MouseHunt World?

MouseHunt world is HitGrab’s newly launched game. It is a geolocation game which allows hunters to catch virtual mouse using traps placed at real-life locations. A similar but totally different touch to the original,well-loved MouseHunt game.

How does it work?

Lets dive straight into this new rat-filled world! In this first part of the guide I’ll be sharing the basics of this game. The features I’ll be covering is as follows:

  • Locations / Points of interest
  • Traps
  • Cheese
  • Mice and Hints
  • Portals
  • Wanted mouse

[Update] If you are only interested in completing the missions, CLICK HERE

Locations / Point of interest

There are a total of 28 points of interest. Each point of interest have their own unique bunch of mice to catch. These points of interest are found scattered all over the world map.

Tip: Start with your own neighborhood / country.

Traps

Similar to MouseHunt, traps in this game can be bought and some have to be crafted.

Traps that can be bought

Cheese

There are a total of 18 cheeses currently. 12 of which can be bought, 4 are dropped by mouse, 1 to be crafted and 1 which can be bought with gems or given as rewards.

  • Only Dropped by mouse
Soggy Sardine Cheese
Sweet Energy Cheese, Rainydaycoffee Cheese, Slow Cheese
  • Craftable
Solidfied Saga Cheese (Mission 3)
  • Bought with gems / Given as rewards
SUPER brie+
  • Can be bought (in-game currency)
Cheese cubes, Masheen Cheese, Cheddar
Marble, Gouda, Burnt Cheese
Swiss, Brie, Blue Stilton Cheese
Camembert, Roquefort, Taleggio

Mice and Hints

There are currently a ton of mice in the game, putting up all their information here will take years to finish reading… As such, I will run through the basics.

  • Each mouse are worth different amount of xp and gold.
  • Some mice drop loot: hints, cheese and even GEMS!
  • Some mice are location or time specific (E.g. Jackhammer Mouse can only be caught from 5am-8am and Tiny-Ben Mouse can only be caught in London @ the Big Ben)
  • Every mouse must be caught by specific set(s) of trap(s) and cheese(s). (So troublesome and so different from MouseHunt…)

Portals

There are 2 kinds of portals:

  • Multiplayer portals.

Requires many hunters to defeat and close the portal.

  • Singleplayer portals.

Can be easily completed by yourself .

Example of a portal on a map

Most Wanted Mice

There are Wanted maps in this game as well! Unfortunately depending on which country you reside in, it might take awhile to finish the map. Each mouse in the Wanted maps are at specific locations around the globe (except for the Pyro Wanted map). Sending your Squire to a specific location might take up to a day or more…

Summary?

Well to wrap things up, I must say the last 1 week of playing this game has been fun and exciting at times. I also forgot to mention how annoying it was to wake up at 5am just to catch the Jackhammer Mouse!

Stay tuned… Because I’ll be doing an in-dept guide on each mission and the tips and tricks I learnt so far. I hope this will help any new mouse hunter!

Stay safe, Stay healthy, Stay sane!
