One more: How solid an assertion is it, really, that affluent/middle class people can afford “clean food”? Retirement security is in horrible shape in America. Middle-class people carry debt on their houses, their cars, their credit cards, and worry about how they are going to send their children to college and still afford to retire. Persuading them they need to spend ~$400 bringing home “clean food” instead of ~$200 on conventionally-produced food is irresponsible in light of that.
