Maybe it was the sorority and university that you attended. I have a daughter who joined a sorority her freshman year and they actually embrace being different. The same university also offers many different sororities and fraternities that don’t follow in line with the more traditional definition. I can see why you would not encourage your daughters to join based on your experience. I would feel the very same way.
