What Childhood Toy Did You Want But Never Receive?
Nicole Dieker

In retrospect I had so many toys and non-toy playthings like dressing up clothes, either personally mine or things I shared with my siblings. To the point that there’s nothing I feel any lingering resentment over years later. The things I remember wanting but not getting were either things that would have made annoying noises (Furbies) or things that would have been impractical space or logistics-wise (we never lived anywhere with a tree that could support a treehouse; I was super jealous of my friend’s massive old-fashioned rocking horse but to adult eyes it must have dominated their living room). I can’t blame my parents for that.
