Hey Luke,
I am familiar with Quantum Learning at a pretty high level — I don’t know that there is one thing that can be “the” classroom dynamic, but Qauntum does a great job of aligning ideas that are definitely key… my concern is that we continue to promote innovation and we use John’s definition that is pretty solid… if we use others (even some that our team at Metiri Group referenced when we wrote the Future Ready and ISTE Student Standards materials) it seems like we are getting in the habit of redefining expectations but never really saying “hey we are redefining expectations” — that is what gives me pause more than anything! If we don’t know what “it” is how can we know if we are making progress towards it? For me that progress is about engagement of students, staff, etc. Lots to think about!
