The Resistance Is On the March. It’s Time For Senate Democrats To Catch Up.

Senate democrats need to do more than simply show solidarity for the people “in the streets”. They need to rise and fulfill their oath of office: “Upon taking office, senators-elect must swear or affirm that they will “support and defend the Constitution.” The president of the Senate or a surrogate administers the oath to newly elected or re-elected senators. The oath is required by the Constitution; the wording is prescribed by law.” They also need to reach across the aisle to republicans who might be persuaded to fulfill THEIR oath as well.
