Measure Seventy-Five Times, Cut Once: Further Blood Glucose Meter Testing
Chris Hannemann

What have you heard, if anything, about Walmart’s “ReliOn Prime” meter? My A1C was higher than expected and eventually I decided to get that meter (reasons I chose that one were price and reviews). The trend with how this meter tests against my old Contour Next meter is consistently higher by about 10–20 points. I haven’t had a chance to test against a lab test yet, but ReliOn’s numbers line up more with what my A1C was, so I suspect this meter is more accurate, but I can’t say until I test it against the lab, I suppose.
