Poem: “Eucharist”
a thanksgiving shared from the body —
a table lean-to surrounded by
family friends community
broken body blood runs so deep
a shared new bond between
creator and creation of life and joy
a confession absolution peace
something to establish harmony
something divine — fourfold remembrance:
taking—blessing—breaking—sharing
the giving of thanks and loves acceptance
piece of bread cup of the vine.
