Semiotics is the study of signs and symbol systems within a culture — so what I am referring to is an iterative process for revealing the signs, symbols, metaphors, and other aspects of symbolic culture that then informs the educational efforts to shape and influence how their composition changes as the adaptive landscapes of the human ecology go through disruptive changes.

This would be a cultural evolutionary system of semiotics. Does this make more sense?
