Thanks, Marcus! I hadn’t read this article before but see that you are right — we are very much resonant on the thinking that silver bullet solutions are a pipe dream that distract from the real work of (i) struggling through immense turmoil throughout the transition; (ii) accepting and finding ethical ways to deal with the huge suffering and loss that will transpire across decades or possibly centuries; and (iii) the great diversity of dynamic interventions that will culminate in resilient solutions matched to local culture and ecology with each phase of change that unfolds throughout the entire period (and beyond).
