For clarification, you wrote, “On average, nationwide, a part-time Uber driver earns around $19 per hour. The federal minimum wage is only $7.25 per hour. By contrast, a full-time taxi driver makes, on average, $10.19 per hour.”
This is striking but is it apples to apples? For this $19, is the Uber driver covering the same gas / car / insurance expenses as the Taxi Driver?
