Yes, what you do within a structure is the key.
For me focusing on reinventing organizational structures and processes is a distraction from developing a leadership mindset across an organization.
If you have a people with a leadership mindset and reinforce those behaviours any management structure can work for you. That includes hierarchical structures because managers will have a leadership mindset that gives employees a platform to lead in their own sphere of influence.
Flexibility of mind, listening and adaptability don’t come from an organizational structure — they come from a mindset.
