I can’t claim to be enough of a soccer fan to know what I’m talking about, but the guy’s 32, is clearly not the player he was 5 years ago, and father time is undefeated.

Is it worth it for a team to spend that kind of money on a guy who has reached the age where fading superstars start to transition away from the elite European leagues and to MLS (or now China)? Especially when it comes at the risk of team chemistry in the sport that seems to rely the most on it?
