I’m sorry you want to turn this into a tirade against men, but the real world features a much wider variety of circumstances. I guess you haven’t had the experience to see them, but people like me have.

“Gift” is definitely appropriate. The child gets a chance to live. The parents get to be parents. And someone has to make an affirmative choice before either is possible. Is there something about either of these outcomes that you think is bad?

MW: “Human lives are too important to be just exchanged in that way.”

Does that mean they’re too important to kill before delivery? Asking for a friend.
