We live as humans beings to complement each other. We are like the jigsaw puzzle which if carefully fixed together, we see the beauty of the hidden picture. One piece may not make sense until we find the other parts that fit perfectly. Same way, coming together, finding our best fits, would render us whole. You're strong today just so you can complement the weak. You're up today because you need to pull others up. That's how the world works.

Your experiences and mine, together with those of others, will help us build a better world. Sometimes, we go through…

The one quote that has been consistent on my WhatsApp status is "Poco a Poco" and this has raised a number of questions in the minds of friends. Not all of these people have - in some sense - mustered courage to pour out their hearts to me but some too have, in a subtle way, asked the obvious question which has now become a routine. Often, my replies come with a rather sarcastic laugh before I tell them, "It means Little by Little or Gradually" and the conversation usually ends there. …

This is me 7yrs ago donning the Kente cloth my late father gave me. I knew little about life and I always tried to fit in. I was that kid that no one recognized when out with friends and family. Often, I would stay back and give myself reasons that I wasn't enough just because others were doing what I could only dream of. When many spoke about the odd one out, it was me (my mind had convinced me). My nuclear family had my back but it wasn't enough for me...I wanted more.

This morning, my mind took me back to one of the conversations I had with my very good friend, Favour Ike, some time ago. We were basically discussing the roles that people play in our lives and he made me understand that he values whatever I was doing for him, hoping it continues forever. Then, I made him understand that in life's journey, we will have different people come across us. Some are meant to stay, others just to be part of our experiences.

The fact that someone is helping you today doesn't guarantee they will do so forever. I…

One of the most challenging decisions we make in life is embracing change. We feel too comfortable with our current self and wonder the effect that 'change' would have on our lives. After all, I’m okay with what I’m doing now; there’s no need to take that road; I’m perfect swimming in the pool; my friends and family, co-workers, everyone, is content with what i have now. Why should i risk all these luxurious life for a simple 'change' ?

Being mentally or emotionally satisfied with how things are is not a problem but have you also thought of the…

Scars are said to be Tattoos with better stories. They actually make you remember the pain you went through before you had that special mark on you. In one way or the other, it shows the struggles and storms you've sailed through in your life. I see tattoo to be something we have control over. We mostly decide what should be drawn and the shape it has to take on our bodies. Scars however dictate the form they want and that depends on the circumstances surrounding it. Either Scar or Tattoo, they are both marks but they tell different stories.

Never forget the old were once young. The ones you look down upon today, you will strain your iris to catch a glimpse of them as they walk beyond the skies. We predict the future but we don’t know the certainty of the future. I mean, predictions made about the future are not facts about the future. They may turn out to be right or wrong and that is why you don’t have to underestimate your fellows. You may be at par or above them now but when all is said and done, they might overtake you.

You may be…
