Blockchain nodes connect and gossip with each other. Redundancy leads to a robust system, and perhaps higher requirements on the network. Photo by Clint Adair on Unsplash

Blockchain technology can help the C-suite implement robust digital systems that reduce fraud and increase data reliability. But preventing scandals is secondary to meeting revenue and EBIT targets. With enterprises still busy switching from paper to bytes (read digitization), the enterprise blockchain can use this phase to polish its technology and demonstrate its value added.

The challenge — connecting to the bottom line

What does blockchain do 10x better?

Technology usually makes things faster (broadband speed), require less effort (check your email on your mobile phone), more efficient (a car engine uses less fuel per kilometer), or safer (your bicycle helmet).

Two weeks ago I heard a presenter say: everyone wants to do agile until they do agile. That doesn’t resonate with me. I love agile thinking, planning, and adapting so much that it sneaks into how I approach most aspects of my life.

In this article I share how I setup my sprints and burn down charts to do something I had never done before: running 1000 km in a year. This is not something extraordinary, but it is a major milestone for me. …

A hackathon is to coding what a marathon is to running. Hackathons bring together coders and designers to work on a problem, or challenge, and produce some result, usually presented in a pitch slam at the end of the event. I have completed three different hackathons with three different teams and won a total of four prizes with them. This blog is about how my teams did it.

How do you win? You need to define the “why”. You have to make it clear why what you are going to build matters. Why the hackathon jury should vote for you…

In a small business, it is often the case that the employee brand plays an important role in boosting (or sinking) the business brand. This phenomenon is accentuated when the business is a new business just getting off the ground. Just think of the products and services that you’ve tried because a friend of yours works there or the Facebook likes you have given away to support an acquaintance that you professionally admire.

How does this look in practice? …
