I agree that focusing on your kids is probably your best investment from multiple standpoints:

  1. It’s fun! Kids are best.
  2. Talk about life-hacks! You get to teach them all the good ones!
  3. Your wife will be able to brag to all her friends about how great a dad you are.
  4. The time you spend with them now will be less time you spend with them in the principal’s office (or juvenile court) because of behavioral issues.

Beyond that, though, you might consider getting a partner that likes the things you don’t like and you have real synergy with. Consider:

  1. Hewlett and Packard
  2. Gates and Allen
  3. Jobs and Wozniak
  4. Gilbert and Sullivan

And so on…
