Modern School Flaw: Homework
School… What can we say about it? It’s fun when you’re with your friends, when you’re joking around with your teachers, or when you’re at gym or lunch, which is what you consider your free/fun time. Besides that, school sucks, and there’s no doubt about it. There are many problems with school, but in this article, I’m only going to touch on one problem: homework.
Homework is basically self explanatory. It’s school work that you’re forced to do at home. But what schools and teachers don’t think about, are their very own students. How do they expect us to do their homework, on top of the other numerous homework we have from our other classes, and also deal with our personal life at home? That’s a one way ticket to stress, and there’s no coming back from it. I mean, yeah, after you finish your homework, you feel a little relieved. But, that thought of inconsideration still lingers.
What if a student has to stay up until midnight doing the school day’s homework, and has to wake up by 4 a.m, for whatever reason? Then, the next day, our teachers make us feel like it’s our fault that we’re tired or did a sloppy job on our homework. Also, complaining about how rude or cranky we are. What kind of crap is that? There’s other things going on in a student’s life besides homework. Stop putting down so much work onto our already-full plates.

Teachers make us feel as if homework is a very important thing, yet it counts less than classwork and projects/tests/quizzes. So what’s with all the fuss? I feel like teachers are programmed to instill stress into our lives just for the fun of it. Since they’re older than us and “smarter” than us, they feel like they can do whatever they want with us, and that’s petty.
I. HATE. HOMEWORK.
