3 Ways Your Wife Enriches Your Life

“Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What a marvelous thing God created when He created marriage.

One man, one woman, together for life. Sharing hopes and dreams. Enduring life’s hardships. What an amazing creation! What an awesome God we serve!

Here are 3 thoughts I want to give you today on how a Prov 31 wife enriches your life:

  1. Love- There is nothing greater in this world than love. Love touches our body, soul, and spirit like nothing else. Your wife is the fountain of your love. Husbands, as you love your wife and speak life-giving words over her, the fountain of love is refreshed. You cannot simply expect to receive continuously and not ever give. In fact, the fountain will never flow if you do not initiate things with the gentle and humble words that befit a Christ-like man.
  2. Gifts- It never ceases to amaze me when I see the gifts of my beloved displayed. Lately it has been her gift of hospitality that has really amazed me. God gives both the man and woman unique gifts that come together to form a beautiful expression. Our gifts are actually accentuated and multiplied as we give of ourselves to each other and live to serve each other. How amazing is that??
  3. Favor- A godly wife will always release favor into your life. I can’t tell you how many countless times I’ve looked back at the best things (or people) in my life and see a direct connection to my wonderful bride. The Bible tells us that a wife brings favor with both God and man. Who wouldn’t want that??

Takeaway: As you can see from these 3 things I’ve highlighted today, a godly wife enriches the life of her husband in many valuable ways.

As a wife do you feel like you enrich the life of your husband?

How could you do more to make his life even better?

As a husband, have you initiated the love and security needed for your wife to flourish and enrich your life?

Have you demanded but not poured in? Let’s all make a fresh commitment today to live our lives modeling the relationship of Christ and the Church so the world can see the picture of God’s amazing design in marriage.
