“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

  1. He is like a tree- He is stable. He is solid. He does not change his mind every day. He stays planted in the place God has given him.
  2. He is planted- He finds a place of stability in the local church and stays planted. He does not run from church to church or leader to leader. He allows the Lord to promote him.
  3. He yields his fruit- He is generous. He is kind. He gives of himself willingly and does not hold back. He is willing to give his best!
  4. His leaf does not wither- He has longevity. He can be trusted and counted on. He does not run or give up when times get hard. He prepares for the hard times and stays unmovable when things are at their worst.
  5. He prospers in all he does- The godly man is not content to have one or two areas of his life that are good. He wants God’s best in every area. He is willing to put in the work to have every area of his life reflect the divine order of God’s Word. His mind is renewed and he doesn’t suffer from stinkin’ thinkin’!

Takeaway: Which of theses areas do you find challenging? Have you gotten some of them down? Which ones? How can you get better in every area of your life and reflect the values of the godly man?
