Bring Back the Dance

“And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment.” ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭NLT ‬‬

Growing up in the golden age of the Charismatic movement, dancing was always a staple of the celebration service.

It was as common as a word of prophecy or tongues and interpretation of tongues. Now, we live in a new era of one hour services and rare outbreaks of the gifts of the Spirit. While there is some great things God is doing through this new methodology,

we cannot forget about the important revelation that was given to the church over the last 50 years.

Today I want to focus on the distinct aspect of dancing. In this passage we see David failing to bring the Ark to Jerusalem. The glory had temporarily departed.

The dance was one of the key components that helped restore the presence of God to Israel.

I believe in a personal and corporate sense that the dance will restore the presence of God to your life and bring his presence back in our midst in a tangible way.

Takeaway: when is the last time you danced before the Lord?

The dance should be a part of your spiritual devotion.

You should dance before the Lord in your home, church, and anywhere you want to see victory, joy, and God’s presence released.
