Lord, I Trust You!
“In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To you they cried and were rescued; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.” Psalms 22:4–5 ESV
The last couple of days have been a real test for me. I’ve had one of those weeks you want to immediately forget. Most of the trouble stems from issues with my health (as always). I even spent a few days in the hospital to get things sorted out. Not the kind of week you ever want!
Because of all this I woke up this morning around 5am with a lot of worry and anxiety on my mind. It seemed waiting for me to wake up so it could pounce! I laid there for a few minutes and just prayed in the Spirit.
Pretty soon, out of my spirit man, came the words “I trust You!” I began repeating that over and over again until the peace of God washed over me like a river.
When I got up and began to read the Word, I came upon these verses from Ps 22. What an encouragement. What a confirmation! I don’t know where you are today or what you may be facing, but these simple words of trust in Jesus will calm the storm. They will release peace. They will thwart fear and worry.
