Ministry of Encouragement
Paul sent for the believers and encouraged them. Then he said good-bye and left for Macedonia. While there, he encouraged the believers in all the towns he passed through. Acts 20:1 — 2 NLT
As I have matured in the things of God, I have consistently become more aware of the power of encouragement.
In the book of Acts, we see a continual theme of great men of God bringing encouragement everywhere they went. I believe encouragement is the lifeblood of the Kingdom. It needs to be our greatest motivation as believers, and more importantly as leaders, to bring encouragement everywhere we go.
Takeaway: in a world where people face so much negativity and hardship we should all strive to be masters of encouragement. Allow the Holy Spirit to use you today to encourage others through sharing Scripture, prayer for felt needs, or simply a smile that lets someone know that they are cared for and loved by you and the Lord Jesus.
