Put your hope in the LORD. Travel steadily along his path. He will honor you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed. ‭‭Ps‬ ‭37:34‬ ‭NLT

There are two great promises in this verse that are preceded by two important instructions. The first instruction is to put your hope in the Lord. This may sound simple, but when you are in the midst of turmoil or trial it can be the most difficult thing you ever do.

I am actually reminding myself and resetting my hope today on Jesus.

The second thing is travel steadily along his path. This means to be consistent in your pursuit of the things of God. A word that could sum this up is perseverance.

There will be times when you do not feel like pursuing the things of God. It doesn’t matter! Keep going!

When you continue in your hope and persevere in his path, one day you look up and see that you have inherited the great promises of God and every obstacle that stood in the way has been removed.

Takeaway: there will be battles in your life that are long term struggles. Follow the instruction given here to keep your hope alive and travel steadily on God’s path and you will look up one day and see that the victory has been won.

Never forget the finished work of Calvary!
