Seek God!
“Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.” Psalms 105:4 NLT
David was the preeminent voice in the Old Testament for seeking God. As a man after God’s own heart, he understood something that the Lord wants us to discover. When the Lord said that “David was a man after his own heart”, he authenticated David as an example of someone who is passionate in pursuit of God’s heart and presence.
There is something powerful about this concept of continually seeking the Lord.
Searching for God’s presence and relying upon his strength and favor are things that do not come naturally to us as humans.
Our default mode is to rely upon ourselves. How many times have we gone into situations and walked through them start to finish without ever relying upon the Lord?
How often do we go through our day without looking for the presence of God?
I want to be a person who seeks the presence of God. I want to know how to find his presence each and every day. I want to remain thirsty for time in his presence. I want to remain desperate for his strength and favor in my life.
Takeaway:
Are you actively seeking the presence of God? Have you allowed routine and religion to sabotage your pursuit?
Make a fresh commitment today to pursue Jesus in everything you do and rely on Him for every step in your life.
