The Job of a Prophet

“All right,” Jeremiah replied. “I will pray to the LORD your God, as you have asked, and I will tell you everything he says. I will hide nothing from you.” Jeremiah 42:4 NLT
Here are the two main functions of a prophetic voice to the body of Christ:
1. Pray to the Lord
2. Tell what the Lord says
This may seem very simple, but in reality it is probably the hardest job description in the kingdom. Being devoted to prayer and separation onto God is something very rare indeed. Even more rare, are those who hear the voice of God and hold nothing back in speaking what the Lord says. Sadly, many “ministers” today do not spend time seeking the Lord and have no idea what he is saying in this day.
It will always be a high price to deliver the word of God without holding anything back!
Jeremiah not only sought the Lord, but he heard the voice of God and held nothing back from what he had heard.
What he heard was not what they wanted to hear… What’s new?!?
As you can see, there is a high price to being used as a voice for the Lord.
Takeaway: Are you seeking the Lord today? Are you faithful to declare what he says to you?
Are you willing to pay the price of being a prophetic voice?
Take up your cross today and boldly declare the message the Lord has given you!
