The Missing Link

“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭NLT

Something is missing. Something extremely important is missing.

With all our grand buildings and cutting-edge strategies, why is the Western church still in decline?

I believe the missing link is revealed in this verse.

First of all, people do not know the truth. They do not have a confidence in the revealed truths of the word of God. This is both the fault of preachers and believers alike.

Preachers have chosen to preach for popularity. Believers have chosen to be complacent in their pursuit of understanding the word of God.

Once the truth has been confirmed, it must be passed on to others.

We all have an obligation to pass on the word of God to those around us.

This can be family members or complete strangers that we connect with through fellowship in the body of Christ. Nonetheless, we have an obligation to pass on the truth.

Finally, the great power of the kingdom is unleashed when those who have received the truth pass it on to yet another generation. This is how the kingdom of God multiplies.

This is how the power of the kingdom is unleashed… multiple generations of believers passing on revealed truths through kingdom relationship.

Takeaway: find someone today and begin the process of imparting truth to their life. Make sure they understand your expectation is for them to do the same for someone else. This will kickstart a Kingdom explosion!
