Why Prophetic and PC are Diametrically Opposed
“Don’t say such things,” the people respond. “Don’t prophesy like that. Such disasters will never come our way!” Micah 2:6 NLT
There is a lot of talk in our nation right now about the politically correct agenda. Many have voiced annoyance or outright rejection, but the reality is that just about everyone cowers in fear to the forces that propel it.
The PC agenda is birthed under the guise of “tolerance” and even respect for everyone, but actually respects the few who believe a certain way (almost always anti-Biblical) and punishes anyone who dares to question that viewpoint.
As Christians we have been mostly silenced by the veracious zeal of those who wield this powerful tool against us.
This is only the latest manifestation of something that has been happening for millenniums.
There has always been a group, many times the majority, that despised the prophetic declaration of truth and righteousness.
There will always be a rebellious people who despise the word of the Lord and want to move forward in their wicked lifestyles without confrontation. This is where the children of Israel were in the time of Micah the prophet.
They wanted to live the way they wanted and refused to hear any reminder of the consequences that awaited their sinful behavior.
As a prophetic people, we the Body of Christ must represent the Kingdom of God on earth. It is our job to bring the kingdom of Heaven to earth in power and boldness. We must stand up for righteousness no matter the cost. Peter and John modeled this when they stood in front of the Sanhedrin and boldly declared that they had crucified the Messiah. What an inspiration!! (Im fired up today)
Takeaway: Have you been silenced by the pressure of culture to be politically correct? Have you been bold to speak out for righteousness and faced hostility as a result? Did this make you decide to be silent instead of face the wrath of the rebellious?
Let us decide today to be like Micah the prophet and speak up for the Lord…no matter the hostility or consequences!
