Will pedestrians behave like idiots when we have self driving cars?

With the launch of the Tesla 3, there is a lot of analysis about the future of self driving cars. But I don’t see much attention being paid to the affect it’s likely to have on pedestrians.

Image a city where people are rushing about on foot, knowing that cars will stop for them if they step out in front of one.

I foresee a weird place where people just run across roads assuming that the self driving cars will all stop.

Wonder how we’ll handle this?
