Thanks David. I think you’re on point if you are only shipping one thing one time. I would posit the fastest research is the reuse of what is already known. If you already know something, you can apply it immediately and don’t even need “fast” research.

I love this statement: “Research doesn’t exist for its own sake, it only exists to improve decisions.” Thus, the more informative it is, the better. Informative to improve decisions over how fast those decisions are made.
