A Great Idea with poor to average execution can improve exponentially by improving the execution.
Randy Tan

So linux = great idea — so it improves exponentially and is used on millions of servers. despite contributions from poor contributors, thanks to the ‘code goes through many eyes” system, it still grows and improves to what we have today.

An example of a poor (bad) idea — putting dividers and cement blocks in lanes to herd the vehicles as an effort to help solve the traffic does not really improve the traffic and the solution will reach a limit someday.
