Having read this, I was reminded of a time I attended an anti-racism training program and heard one of the attendees, herself a woman of color, say: “At the end of the day, it grinds me down so small.” Her painful, plaintive remark has stayed with me for decades now. Your story reminds us that racism is still alive and thriving, especially in these times. I hope you are not being ground so small. Know that there are many of us who are not of color who abhor racism. Be safe. I wish you peace.
