Interaction Design Prototyping OBA
The Interaction Design prototyping stage of a software design in valuable. One Bus Away is an example of an Interaction Design prototype that pays attention to its users. They put their own ideas into a product, but at the same time it incorporates manageable ideas into a software. This process also isn’t the quickest job. It takes time and effort to put your ideas down on paper and start to make them a reality. One Bus Away showed us that one idea can help many people. It all starts with a prototype to get to the finished product.
Usability Testing Nordstrom
Usability is an integral part of how a company tests and approves their products. Nordstrom recently went through this process with their “purchase wall” testing. Nordstrom exposed their recent idea to everyday situations to test how the users would interact to their product. With this testing, Nordstrom could understand what they could improve on in their project to make it more user friendly. Nordstrom showed how appropriate usability testing can add to the user experience of a certain product.
Future Implementations
I learned that both of these processes, Interaction Design and Usability Testing, are intricate design tools that are used everyday by human centered design researchers. I could improve on my own work from learning from these presentations. The amount of time and effort put into these projects is inspirational. If I could implement the same amount of hard work and innovation in my ideas, my work would definitely reflect it. Both of the presentations started with an idea that needed to be presented to users. I could take the methods I learned and put them forth in my ideas as I present them to my users. Human centered design was in the minds of these innovators and this idea also needs to be flowing in my head as I progress with my creations.
