I’m afraid the Messenger app uses the 16khz-mono protocol, this is so that it is compatible with the WebAssembly version at messenger.chirp.io. We have limited the WebAssembly SDK to only use this protocol for now as Android devices seem to cut off all frequencies above 8kHz in the web.
This could be because the default input device is not set correctly, you will notice many devices if you run
Try using a different device index.
sdk.audio.input_device = 2
If you are referring to Chrome on iOS or any kind of browser that utilises the WKWebView in iOS, then getUserMedia is sadly not supported.
Only Safari will work on iOS :(
We have tested with current versions of Firefox on macOS and Android with good success.
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by opening in Gmail..
What device are you browsing on?
Once the return URL has been loaded into the WebView you can extract the paymentID from it. If the paymentID cannot be extracted, you can assume that it has failed.
This same process can easily be transferred over to Android by making the same API requests. However we won’t be releasing this as this write up as this was the output of our fintech based hackathon.
