A SUNY Oswego Freshman discusses his first week of classes at SUNY Oswego.

“The semester’s going okay,” Evan Lupien, a freshman accounting major said. Lupien is still getting used to college.

“I’m still adjusting. I’m mostly focused on making sure classes go well,” Lupien said.

Evan Lupien shows off his Laker pride outside of Lanigan Hall Wednesday morning.

Lupien is only taking one math class this semester, something he is bothered by.

“I’m mostly taking Gen Eds. I wish that they would tilt more towards my major,” Lupien said.

Lupien doesn’t currently have any semester goals, besides keeping his GPA above a 3.0. He is a recipient of SUNY Oswego’s Merit scholarship, which awards him $3,000 per year so long as he keeps his 3.0 GPA.

Lupien is glad to have the same sort of opportunities available to him as a commuter. He commutes from Oswego and is excited for what SUNY Oswego can offer him in terms of a quality education.
