口/品:Mouth/Commodity

After the hunger strike of the Scholarism student group

The mouth knows mouths when
opened can command a line up
of arsenal and the ranks of men,

so it may shut its own
to synchronize a silent
symphony of arrogance.

The mouth must learn there
are other mouths emptied
so they can open to sing.

My poem Mouth/Commodity can be found in Drunken Boat, one of the world’s oldest online literary journal of the arts. Featured in Issue 21 in the folio on Hong Kong, this poem is about the Umbrella Revolution. More information on the folio here.
