I Am Enormously Grateful for Curses
Every day I list all the things I’m grateful for.
I’m grateful for the sun, the moon, the stars, the wind, the rain, the flowers, the trees, the shrubs, the grass, the dirt, the concrete, the road, the way this woman is cursing out the driver who pulled out in front of her.
She’s a good curser.
I could learn a lot from her.
She holds cursing seminars, she says. You too can curse like I can.
What’s the secret to good cursing? I say.
Practice, she says. Lots of practice. In this city it’s not hard.
I practice my cursing.
Cursing is a sign of high intelligence, a recent study showed.
I curse as much as possible now.
Small children respond well to curses, I’ve found.
I try to teach them everyone I know. It’s important to pass on knowledge to the younger generation.
