How John Danes Leverages Personal Branding to Build World Class Relationships.

John Danes is a 19 Year Old Entrepreneur from Nashville, Tennessee. He has now built a top 100 business podcast and world class personal brand, but 10 months ago, he had nothing. John was struggling 10 months ago to start a podcast, he had no experience, no network, and no personal brand. In the world of business, he was worthless.

In August of 2018, he was studying successful personal brands day and night. He concluded that the best path to success was to start a podcast. He saw it as the quickest and most efficient way to build his network and get his name out there. So, that’s what he did. He started “The No Excuses Show” and didn’t look back.

Danes started studying Youtube to find the best equipment at the cheapest price, and started creating content. He recorded his 6 minute intro episode over 20 times, and even though he had no flow, he kept pushing. He finally set up an interview, which was over an hour, to find out he wasn’t recording the audio. He was discouraged, and even contemplated giving up all together.

After recording a few interviews, he started reaching out to higher level individuals. One night, he put out a few stories posts on Instagram talking about one of his favorite internet entrepreneurs, Ricky Gutierrez. Ricky saw them, followed John, and reached out to him. John decided this was his chance, and asked Ricky to appear on his podcast as a guest. To John’s surprise, Ricky agreed, and asked to fly John out to Arizona.

After doing the interview with Ricky, John’s podcast went from zero to hero. John was promoted through an audience of over 400,000 people, and his podcast was blowing up. After returning home to Nashville, John decided to start reaching out to all of Ricky’s other friends in the space. He did just that, and the results were massive. Not only did the podcast grow faster than ever, but so did John’s network. He started to expand his personal brand, his podcast, and most importantly his network.

After persistent effort, with only 17 episodes, John ranked at the 39th business podcast in the world. With that, he doubled down and started putting out more content than ever. With that, he’s now at nearly 40 episodes, and interviewed individuals like Grant Cardone. He’s seen as an expert in the podcast industry, spoken in front of hundreds of people, and consults with huge personal brands. More than anything, John has built an incredible network of people he will continue to do business with a long time from now.
