Do you want to start a business? Applying for business school seems like the obvious next step, but this is often a mistake.
This may seem contradictory considering you go to medical school when you want to become a doctor. Lawyers go to law school. Veterinarians go to vet school. Why wouldn’t entrepreneurs go to business school?
The answer is simple: modern business schools do not teach you how to start a business, they teach you how to climb the corporate ladder.
Spending upwards of $100,000 to learn about financial models, excel, and old marketing techniques is not the best investment for a wannabe entrepreneur. With that money, you could read every entrepreneurship book on Earth, and then have $90,000 leftover to actually start a business.
