It has really been an eye opener to me how many people from all walks of life have said that they suffer from perfectionism. I think if we talk about it more then we’ll be better able to spot when we’re getting into those negative cycles.
Its great that you’re recognizing that the negative thoughts are the perfectionist voice and not actually reality.
I have a friend who writes down one thing a day that they’re proud of, or that they did well, then when they get into catastrophic thinking they can look back over it and remember all the awesome things they’ve done.
I bet you can write and keep a list of things you’ve done that you’re proud of!
