Confession: I’m A Backwards, Closed-Minded Millenial
Mallory Smyth

From an evolutionary perspective, “truth” is what best allows us to survive as individual and as community in the circumstances we find ourselves.

As living beings we have no way of knowing “objective truth” because reality is a continuum across a scale from the infinitely large to the infinitely small across time, space, material and energy. We can only perceive “reality” through our senses and the conceptual frameworks of our thoughts.

Trying to be too accepting of the whole spectrum of other people’s ideas can make your thinking too vague and confused to be able to care properly for yourself and those around you.

If your religion helps you to live your life better and to interact better with those around you, then it is a meaningful “truth”.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
