The internet is a very poor vehicle for irony.

At least I hope that is meant ironically. Experience warns me, though, that some people have been able to spend their entire lives looking down on people less privileged and remain quite sure that Those People’s indigence is entirely due to their own shortcomings of character and application.

The language of the privileged cannot describe the lives of those who are marginalised, and cannot serve any useful purpose of communication with the marginalised beyond patronising them.
