“Preachers in Confederate States of America famously said, “What the Old Testament commanded, and the New Testament confirmed, let man not undo.””

read the Albion’s Seed and you’ll know who is most likely be a slave owner, a religious Christian or a non religious Christian. you know they like to say not “all Muslim”? the same should be apply to Christians too. agree?

now back to those quotations from the Bible:

please read them again and again. those advises are for slaves. not slaves owners, mind you. I think the original post of this article has pointed that the Bible even in the old testaments have instructed to free the slaves after seven years.

and if you read the history, you’ll know that the Jews are not the only slave owners. the Jews had been slave too.

those advises were for the slave whose slave-owners might not be Christian. can you imagine a religion who asked its followers to murder or bomb their owner? Christianity is not that. if you’re a Christian slave, then you just peacefully endure it. like Joseph in the old testament.

isn’t Christian a religion of peace? you’ve talked about the Confederate states. you talk about Christian slave owners. why don’t you talk about non christian slave owner? there are still slave in this current age. why don’t you talk about it? does Christianity really hurt you so?
