Poem #17 National Poetry Month

Red hazard lights blink.
The damaged car limps slowly.
Hearts have no such lights.

Look into a mirror. 
See all your faults without excuse.
At peace in weakness.

Running in terror. 
Hearing roars but seeing shades.
Time to shine some light.

The old man hidden away, 
Eating a bag of carmels,
Grandkids are too grabby
