Monica, you are right and the hype cycle on AI has been seen before. This is really overhyped. What we have are slightly better algorithms that do a better job at recognizing images, voice or other patterns but this is a far cry from “replacing humans.” On the other hand many jobs don’t require a lot of intelligence. It is clear that if we can build slightly smarter robots, do things like autonomous driving, picking things up in a wharehouse or delivering stuff to people, look at all the data and produce a better diagnosis.
