Known as the ‘garden of France’ and rich in medieval history, fine wines and expansive unspoilt countryside, the Loire Valley attracts visitors from all over the world. The central region was registered as a UNESCO Heritage Site in 2000 and boasts some of the most majestic architecture in Western Europe, the Chateaux being a case in point.

In honour, Belle France have created this interactive infographic. It looks at the history and previous aristocracy of seven grand chateaux in area and goes into detail about how they can be visited today as part of an active walking/cycling holiday.
